The Susquehanna Valley School District has the go-ahead to buy four new school buses, including one wheelchair bus.

Residents voted overwhelmingly 119 to 29 in favor of the $441,000 purchase, to be paid off over five years.

The district plans to pay no more than $118,000 after trade-in for a 72 passenger bus, no more than $118,500 after trade-in for two 66 passenger buses and up to $86,000 after trade-in for the wheelchair bus.

One of the buses being retired is 17 years old.
