Suspected Drug Dealer Arrested in Deposit

A Deposit man is accused of dealing drugs following a month-long investigation by the  Delaware and Broome County Sheriff’s departments.

Authorities say 29 year old Clint Stevens is charged with felony criminal sale of a controlled substance and two felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Authorities say Stevens is accused of possessing quantities of heroin and cocaine with the intent to sell.

The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division August 13 conducted a sting operation on Pine Street in the Village of Deposit with members of the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office and Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force.

The two agencies had received numerous anonymous tips regarding Stevens, alleging drug trafficking in the Village which straddles Delaware and Broome Counties.

Stevens was sent to the Delaware County Jail without bail.
