Authorities said 29-year-old Jeffrey Sanchez-Pica was arrested around midday Wednesday. He's suspected of firing several shots near 200 Murray Street shortly before 5 p.m. Monday.

Investigators said Sanchez-Pica was on parole. They said he was positively identified as the shooter. The driver of the white sport utility vehicle involved in the incident is still being sought.

At least one shot struck a car parked in front of the residence. No injuries were reported.

Police said no warrant had been issued for the getaway driver. Detectives said they know who they are looking for, although they did not make his name public.

Investigators say they believe the shooting incident was retaliatory in nature but they would not elaborate.

People with information about the case may contact the police Detective Bureau at 607.772.7080.
