New York State Police say they have made an arrest in connection with two knife-point robberies of stores in Delaware County in October.

33 year old Jonathan Hynes is accused in the knifepoint robberies of the Stamford Country Store on October 26 and the Mirabito Quickway Store in Davenport on October 28th.

Hynes is charged with felony robbery, grand larceny, criminal possession of a forged instrument and burglary. He is also charged with misdemeanor criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument and endangering the welfare of a child.

Hynes was sent to the Otsego County Jail without bail.

In both hold-ups, a man entered the store wearing a knit hat with eye and mouth holes cut out of it, displayed a large kitchen knife and demanded cash. There were no injuries reported in either robbery.
