Investigators say a bomb threat at SUNY Delhi appeared to have been a hoax.

Students and faculty were ordered out of Evenden Tower today following a reported threat.

Authorities say the University Police and Delaware County 911 received calls around 9:15 this morning indicating there was a bomb in the building. The caller stated the device was set to explode in 45 minutes.

University officials say the campus emergency management plan was activated. The building was evacuated and police agencies were contacted.

Classes scheduled for Evenden Tower were canceled for the remainder of the day.

Several area police agencies assisted University Police on the campus. A State Police canine unit helped with the building search.

Classes at Evenden Tower remain canceled for the rest of the day. They'll resume at 7:35 Wednesday morning.
