SUNY Broome Participating in “Daylight Hour”

SUNY Broome Community College officials say the Town of Dickinson campus will participate in this year's "Daylight Hour."

Daylight Hour is an initiative that aims to raise awareness about the role daylight can play in the lighting of offices. The event seeks to reduce the environmental impact of artificial lighting.

This year's Daylight Hour will be on Friday (June 17) from 1 to 2 p.m. During that time, SUNY Broome is encouraging its faculty and staff to turn lights off in areas where there is sufficient natural light.

Businesses, colleges and universities in the United States are planning to participate in the event.
