It was a memorable weekend for the SUNY Broome Volleyball Team as they captured the NJCAA Regional Tournament with a straight sets victory over Fingerlakes Community College.  The last time the Hornets accomplished that was in 1984.

With the Region III A title the Hornets now set their sights on the National Championship Tournament which is coming up next weekend in Rochester, Minnesota.

Several standouts were honored before and during the Regional Tournament. Brianna Kosinski from Binghamton High School was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player. She, along with Mackenzie Mee from Vestal were selected to the All-Region team.  In addition to player honors the Hornets' coach, Maegan Eddinger, was selected as the Region III Coach of the Year.
