A crash on Stratmill Road in the Town of Fenton November 8 is resulting in drunk driving charges against a Binghamton man.

Broome County Sheriff’s officials say they found a black Ford Bronco had left the road shortly before midnight and hit a tree.

The Deputy then noticed a second vehicle leaving the scene.

After stopping that vehicle on Nowlan Road, the passenger, 20 year old Michael Carden admitted he had been driving the Ford when it crashed.

Officials say they measured Carden’s blood alcohol level at more than twice the legal limit.

Carden is charged with aggravated drunk driving with a blood alcohol content of .18% or greater and driving while intoxicated-first offense as well as a traffic infraction of failure to use designated lane.

He’s been ordered to appear in Town of Fenton Court at a later date.
