Long-time Coach and Administrator Steve Deinhardt was honored by the Binghamton Patriots Football Team and the Binghamton City  School District Friday night.  In halftime ceremonies Deinhardt was presented with an award for his long-time service to Binghamton Athletics.  In addition a permanent plaque will be displayed on the stadium wall of Binghamton Alumni Stadium honoring him.

Deinhardt was the Binghamton Patriots Head Football Coach from 1985 - 2000.  During that span his teams won 8 Division Championships, 4 sectional titles and a New York State Championship in 1985.  Deinhardt's many honors include:  New York State Coach of the Year, Metro Coach of the Year and selection into the Section 4 Hall of Fame.

Along with coaching honors, he served as Director of Physical Education and Athletics for Binghamton from 1991 - 2002 and has been serving as the District's Assistant Superintendent for Administration before announcing his retirement.
