State Boys Basketball Championships Here March 16-18

The New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) is holding its Boys Basketball Championship Tournament in Binghamton this upcoming weekend March 16-18.  This is the second consecutive season that the tournament has been hosted by the Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena.

All five classifications will play semifinal and championship rounds here.  Competition begins on Friday morning with the Class D Semifinals beginning at 9:30 AM.  Class C Semifinals begin at 1:15 PM.  Then the Class B Semifinals begin at 5:00 PM.  The 5:00 PM game is of particular interest to Section 4 followers as the Seton Catholic Central Saints meet Buffalo Health Science Charter.  If the Saints win they would play for the state championship on Saturday night at 9:00 PM.

On Saturday the Class A Semifinals open play at 9:00 AM.  The Class AA Semifinals begin at 12:45 PM.  The Class D Championship is set for 5:15 PM while the C Final is scheduled for 7:00 PM.  The Class B Championship is set for 9:00 PM.
