Star Trek Star Discussing Bullying in Broome

The actress, who played Leeta on Star Trek Deep Space Nine is beaming down at Chenango Valley Middle School September 23 for an anti-bullying program.

Chase Masterson is also in the area September 24-25 for RoberCon, the science fiction festival at Roberson Museum.

Masterson is a cofounder of the anti-bullying initiative, Pop Culture Hero Coalition, using stories from celebrities to fight racism, and all forms of bullying and hate at Comic-Con and school events.

The presentation from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. September 23 will be provided via live streaming to other districts that want to participate.

The RoberCon Science Fiction Convention takes place Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at the museum on Front Street in Binghamton.  Single-day and full weekend general admission badges along with admission with gaming access are being sold.
