Best Known For: Born Richard Raskind, Renee Richards underwent numerous surgeries to transform from a man into a woman in the 1970s. After suing the United States Tennis Association, who blocked her from playing in the 1976 US Open, Richards won the suit and played on the WTA Tour from 1977 to 1981.

Bobby Richardson

Age: 77

Profession: Retired MLB Player

Best Known For: An eight-time All-Star second-baseman, Bobby Richardson played for the New York Yankees from 1955 to 1966. Ricahrdson was a member of the Yankees’ teams that won the World Series in 1958, 1961 and 1962. Richardson was named Most Valuable Player of the 1960 World Series, which was won by the Pittsburgh Pirates. It is the only time a player from the losing team has ever won the Series’ MVP.

Ned Yost

Age: 57

Profession: Retired MLB Player / MLB Manager

Best Known For: After a brief playing career as a backup catcher with the Milwaukee Brewers, Texas Rangers and Montreal Expos in the 1980s, Ned Yost became a major league manager. Yost managed the Brewers from 2003 to 2008. He currently manages the Kansas City Royals.

Morten Andersen

Age: 52

Profession: Retired NFL Player

Best Known For: A seven-time Pro Bowl placekicker, Morten Andersen is the all-time leading scorer in NFL history. Andersen played for the New Orleans Saints, Atlanta Falcons, New York Giants, Kansas City Chiefs and Minnesota Vikings from 1984 to 2007. Andersen was named to the NFL’s All-Decade Team for both the 1980s and 1990s.

Ron Darling

Age: 52

Profession: Retired MLB Player

Best Known For: An All-Star pitcher, Ron Darling played with the New York Mets, Oakland A’s and Montreal Expos from 1983 to 1995. Darling was a key member of the Mets’ team that won the 1986 World Series. He is currently an analyst on TBS baseball broadcasts.

Kirk Herbstreit

Age: 43

Profession: Broadcaster

Best Known For: Kirk Herbstreit is a studio analyst for ESPN’s ‘College Gameday’ show and a broadcast analyst on ESPN and ABC college football games. Prior to his broadcasting career, Herbstreit was the starting quarterback for Ohio State in 1992, leading the team to a berth in the Florida Citrus Bowl.

Mary Joe Fernandez

Age: 41

Profession: Retired Tennis Player

Best Known For: A winner of seven career women’s singles tournaments, Mary Joe Fernandez played on the WTA Tour from 1986 to 2000. Along with Gigi Fernandez, Mary Joe Fernandez won the gold medal in women’s doubles at both the 1992 and 1996 Summer Olympics. She also won a bronze medal in women’s singles at the 1992 Games.

Chris Capuano

Age: 34

Profession: MLB Player

Best Known For: Chris Capuano is a starting pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Since making his major league debut in 2003, Capuano has pitched for the Arizona Diamondbacks, Milwaukee Brewers, New York Mets and Dodgers. He was selected to the 2006 National League All-Star Team while with the Brewers.

J. J. Hardy

Age: 30

Profession: MLB Player

Best Known For: J.J. Hardy is a shortstop for the Baltimore Orioles. Since debuting in 2005, Hardy has played for the Milwaukee Brewers, Minnesota Twins and Orioles. Hardy was selected to the 2007 National League All-Star Team while with the Brewers.
