There is no word on if any water sources were contaminated after a milk tanker rolled over and spilled part of its cargo in South New Berlin June 7.

Chenango County Emergency Services officials say the tanker rolled over on State Highway 23 shortly after 10 p.m.

The driver of the truck was trapped in the cab for a time and was transported to the hospital once freed by emergency personnel.

The road was closed for a time while New York State Police, Chenango County Sheriff's Deputies, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Police and hazardous materials teams investigated.

Milk is toxic to aquatic life if it gets into a stream, creek or other water source.
