Spencer Man Jailed After Stop For Equipment Violation

A driver who was pulled over in the town of Owego for a possible equipment violation wound up being sent to Tioga County Jail.

Authorities say 29-year-old Joshua Rennells of Spencer was arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation and inadequate muffler.

According to the Tioga County Sheriff's Office, Rennells was determined to have been driving with a suspended license after being stopped for the equipment violation.

Rennells was arraigned before a town of Newark Valley justice who ordered him held on $1,000 bail.
