Speeding Motorist Found to Have Drugs

An Allentown-area woman is accused of having marijuana, Alprazolam and brass knuckles in her vehicle when she was pulled over for speeding by the New York State Police in Tioga County.

Authorities say the clocked 28 year old Kathryn Gillin of Bangor, Pennsylvania doing 82 miles an hour in a 65 mile an hour zone on State Route 17 in Nichols at 10:11 a.m. November 8.

The Trooper said he smelled the odor of marijuana in the vehicle and searched the car.

The officer says he found 20 grams of pot, the Alprazolam and metal knuckles.

Gillin is to appear in Town of Nichols Court at a later date.
