Pennsylvania State Police are continuing their investigation into a one car crash in Sheshequin that left one man dead and another seriously injured.Troopers say 33 year old Alan Vanderpool of Rome, Pa. was killed when he lost control of his car on Ghent Road shortly before 11 a.m. March 15th.

His car went into the opposite lane, slid across the southbound lane, left the road and flipped numerous times in a field.

Both Vanderpool and his passenger, 24 year old Joseph Neely of Wysox were ejected from the vehicle.

Vanderpool was pronounced dead at the scene while Neely was flown to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre for treatment of major injuries.

Authorities say Vanderpool had been driving at a high rate of speed.
