Special Needs Program Comes to Broome County

The 52^nd New York State Senate District is getting on board with the ThinkDIFFERENTLY campaign.

State Senator Fred Akshar and Binghamton University President Doctor Harvey Stenger hosted Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro to talk about the program to make communities more inclusive and accessible for the disabled, including training employees and modifying transportation and infrastructure.

The program was launched by Molinaro to seek change in the way individuals, businesses, organizations and communities relate to residents of all abilities.

More than 60 communities in New York State have signed on to the effort since last year.
