Tito paid a special visit to the WNBF studio to let people know he and dozens of others like him are looking for a home. Tito, a part pit bull pup, came along with BC Humane Society Executive Director Karen Matson and Fundraising Coordinator Kim Broderick to thank the community and Matthews Subaru for their donation of $11,989 to go toward a much-needed larger shelter.

Matthews Auto and Subaru teamed up for the "Share the Love" initiative.  From November, 2014 through January 2nd, 2015 Subaru donated $250 for each new Subaru sold.  Customers had the choice of selecting one of four national charities and a fifth local charity. Matthews Subaru chose the BC Humane Society as it's local charity.

The BC Humane Society is a non-profit organization that relies entirely on community support and donations. They are hoping to build a new facility to replace their current location on Jackson Avenue in Binghamton. That facility was heavily damaged in the flood of 2011.

Additional information about the BC Humane Society can be obtained online at: www.bchumanesoc.com.
