Getting the answer to the most frequently asked question about Southside Yanni's out of the way first:  The food is great!

The corner sports bar and restaurant on South Washington Street is one of the eateries participating in Binghamton Restaurant Week.

While most of the restaurants participating in the special week that offers diners a reduced price on select lunch and dinner items in a three-course meal, Southside Yanni treats customers to four courses.

Appetizers included bacon-wrapped shrimp and vegetable quesadillas.

The next course is a choice of salad or the soup of the day.

The main event includes generous portions of entrees like eggplant parmesan and Greek-stuffed chicken filled with spinach and feta cheese.

Dessert is a full-sized portion, not just a sample like fresh-baked carrot cake or cheese cake with a choice of raspberry or caramel sauce.

The relaxed atmosphere at Yanni's made for a very enjoyable dining experience and being seated in the front window was fun for people-watching during the meal.

Binghamton Restaurant Week, which benefits the Binghamton Boys and Girls Club and the VINES program ends April 10.
