Southern Tier Transportation Plans Reviewed

Southern Tier residents have a chance to look over plans for improving transportation in the region.

The Draft Binghamton Metropolitan Transportation Study 2017-2021 Transportation Improvement Program, or “TIP” is available for public review at the BMTS website. (www.gobroomecounty.com/bmts/transportation-improvement-program)

TIP maps out all the road, bridge and transit projects to be funded by the Federal Highway Administration and Federal Transit Administration in the next five years.

The BMTS Planning Committee will discuss the TIP at a planning committee meeting June 2^nd at 1:30 pm in the 6^th floor of the Brooome County Office Building in the Legislative Conference Room.

The revised draft TIP is to be adopted at the BMTS June 9 meeting.
