The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Susquehanna Region, Western Mohawk Valley, Southern Tug Hill region and portions of the Catskills from 7 p.m. February 23 to 10 a.m. February 24 with the potential for mixed precipitation and a thin coating of ice.

Officials said the overnight hours could see a mix of rain, sleet, freezing rain and light snow, mainly dependent on elevation.

A Winter Weather Advisory means periods of snow, sleet or freezing 4rain could cause travel difficulties with slippery roads and limited visibilities.
