Southern Tier Dance Instructor Convicted of Sex Abuse

A Tioga County Woman will be sentenced in September for sexually abusing a child.

34 yer old Samantha Stone of Waverly, who is also known as Samantha Werkheiser, was a dance instructor at Studio J in Waverly and Dance Warehouse in Taylor, Pennsylvania. She also had owned Creative Dance Elements in Endicott.

She was found guilty of predatory sexual assault of a child for having sexual contact with a girl under the age of 13 several times since 2003.

The investigation is continuing.

Stone is being held in the Broome County Jail.
