Area credit unions are hoping to collect at least 5,000 pounds of food for CHOW this holiday season. The Southern Tier Credit Union Alliance (STCUA) is holding a food drive through Christmas Eve.  Visitors are asked to bring non-perishable food items to area credit unions which will then be collected by CHOW for distribution to needy families in the area.

Mario DiFulvio, President of the Southern Tier Chapter of the New York State Credit Union Association says the food drive "aligns with our vision of local people helping local people."  Speaking with Roger Neel on WNBF First News DiFulvio and CHOW Director Michael Leahey urged the community to continue to help needy individuals and families by dropping off non-perishable items at area credit unions.  Items needed include canned fruits and juices, cereal, baby formula and pasta.
