Some roads in the Twin Tiers remain snow covered along with many sidewalks.

Law enforcement officials are warning pedestrians not to walk in the street even if sidewalks have not been cleared.

A vehicle could easily spin out on the still snow-covered roads and hit someone walking in the street.

Residents are being urged to clear their sidewalks and make sure fire hydrants are free of snow.

Residents are also reminded that it is illegal in many municipalities to blow or shovel snow into the street, making for sudden, slippery conditions for motorists.

While some plowing continues in the region, it may be a good idea to park off the street if possible to make it easier for plows to clear snow to the curb.
