A town of Maine man was arrested after police found about six pounds of marijuana at his Route 26 home.

Authorities say 27-year-old Edward Crampton has been charged with second-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a felony.

Investigators say in addition to the marijuana, they confiscated at 12-gauge shotgun and $1163 in cash when a search warrant was executed Wednesday.

Police say Crampton's one-year-old child was in the residence while the search was conducted.

They say the marijuana was stored in unsecured containers on the floor where they were accessible to the boy. Because of that, Crampton was charged with endangering the welfare of a child. The child was not hurt.
