Workers have completed the removal of concrete, steel and other debris from the site of a parking garage collapse in Johnson City.

No injuries or deaths occurred when the top level of the two-floor parking deck across from UHS Wilson Medical Center fell on July 16.

Several cars were damaged or destroyed in the incident. A section of Baldwin Street near the entrance to the hospital emergency department was closed for several days.

The concrete floor of the parking garage remains intact. Fencing has been installed around the site.

Baldwin Street in the area of the garage has been repaved since the collapse occurred. The street is back in service.

United Health Services officials have said the investigation into the collapse, along with the design and construction of the garage, may take weeks or months. A spokesman Monday afternoon said "the review is ongoing."
