Horseheads' Joey Sindelar has been battling the Scioto Country Club course in Columbus, Ohio today (Saturday) in the third round of the U.S. Senior Open.  Sindelar, who paced the field with a five-under par 135 after two rounds of play has been struggling in round three play.  With three holes left in the third round Sindelar is tied for third place and is suffering through a brutal round of golf.  Joey is six over par today and that puts him one-over for the tournament.  He has scored two double bogeys and three bogeys to go along with one birdie.

On top of the field through 16 holes today is Miguel Angel Jiminez with a three-under showing putting him at one-under for the tourney.

Gene Sauers is at even par for second place with three holes left to play. Sindelar is currently in a five-way tie for third place as the third round winds down.
