Riding a bicycle on a City of Binghamton sidewalk has resulted in a Binghamton resident's arrest.

Police report the arrest of 48 year-old Joselito Martinez  of Henry Street, after they spotted him riding a bicycle on Susquehanna Street near Carroll Street at 7:52 PM on Saturday, June 17th.  During the stop police discovered that Martinez was in possession of a loaded .22 caliber Colt revolver handgun.

The Binghamton Police Community Response Team who made the stop took Martinez into custody.  He was remanded to the Broome County Sheriff's Correctional Facility.

Martinez is charged with:

One count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree, a class D-Felony.

One count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree, a class A-Misdemeanor.

One count of Riding Bicycle on Sidewalk, a City Ordinance Violation.
