The walk in front of the county-owned property at 181 Clinton Street remained unshoveled Tuesday, posing a hazard to those who attempted to navigate it or those who walked in the street to avoid the snow.

The DMV office was closed on January 16, a few days before the operation was moved downtown to Chenango Street.

A county government spokesman was contacted to look into why the sidewalk had not been shoveled.

Broome County Executive Debra Preston has said the county intends to sell the Clinton Street property now that the DMV office has been relocated.
