Shots Reported Fired On Binghamton’s West Side

Binghamton police were called to a West Side neighborhood late Friday morning to investigate a report of possible gunshots.

Detective Captain Jack Collins said the call was received around 11:30 a.m.

A caller reported hearing what sounded like two shots on Thorp Street near Walnut Street.

Marked units and detectives were sent to the area to investigate.

Collins said police found no evidence after checking the neighborhood.
