Binghamton Police are investigating an incident at the Belmar bar at 12:50 a.m. August 18 that involved a shot being fired inside the business.

No one was hurt.

30 year old Jamal Corbett of Johnson City was arrested and police questioned several people who where in the establishment on Main Street at the time.

Witnesses say Corbett, who is not believed to be a regular at the bar, fired a round into the floor then ran out of the bar.

Police, who were nearby conducting a traffic stop, apprehended Corbett within minutes.

He is charged with criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment.
