Cortland County's Sheriff K9 Officer Frenky is getting some new gear.  The charity, Vested Interest in K9s is delivering a stab and bullet protective vest in the next eight to ten weeks.  Frenky’s vest will have “In memory of K9 Rocco, Pittsburgh Bureau of Police” embroidered on it.

The vests are worth between $1,795 and $2,234 and are provided through private and corporate donations.

The program is open to dogs actively employed in the United States with law enforcement or other agencies who are certified.
