Sheriffs’ Association Institute Launches Membership Drive

Sheriff David Harder announced that the New York State Sheriffs' Association Institute has begun its honorary membership drive in Broome County. Founded in 1979, the Institute provides centralized training programs and services for all Sheriff's offices throughout New York state.

The flagship program of the Institute is the Sheriff's Summer Camp, which provides a summer camp experience for economically challenged children. "By becoming an honorary member you are supporting the Sheriff's Summer Camp for these children," stated Sheriff Harder. The Summer Camp program also offers one scholarship to a BCC Criminal Justice major.
