Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]Broome County District Attorney Steven Cornwell says his office is closely monitoring registered sex offenders and he vows to take swift action if they don’t comply with the law.

Friday, October 7, 56 year old Kenny Copp and 50 year old Matthew Ahern were indicted for felony failure to register under the Sex Offender Registration Act.

In a news release announcing the indictments, Cornwell said “Sex Offender laws exist to protect our community. Broome County monitors these individuals diligently and our office will aggressively prosecute all sex offenders who continue to break the law.”
