A central New York registered sex offender will serve 15 years in prison after being arrested at the Carousel Mall in Syracuse where he was planning to meet a 13 year old girl for sex.

Federal prosecutors say 22 year old Willie Davis of Utica had communicated with the girl through Facebook and text messaging but didn't know she had allowed Homeland Security Investigation Agents to use her Facebook and text accounts after Davis began communicating with her.

In addition to the prison term, Davis is sentenced to 20 years supervised release.

Davis had pleaded guilty to sexual enticement in July and had a prior felony rape conviction.
