Brooome County Sheriff's officials are releasing more information concerning a serious, multiple vehicle crash on Route 369 near Chenango Valley State Park in Port Crane October 26.

Deputies say at 8:07 a.m., it appears 35 year old Kevin Weeks of Port Crane was driving north and crossed over the center line, side-swiping a southbound vehicle driven by 60 year old Michelle Dingler of Chenango Forks.  Authorities say Weeks' vehicle continued across the road before being hit by another southbound vehicle driven b y 50 year old Virginia Towndrow of Oxford.

Weeks and a passenger in Towndrow's vehicle, 40 year old Jeremy Smith of Oxford were taken by ambulance to Wilson Hospital.

Dingler was trapped for a time in her vehicle and was extricated by the Port Crane Fire Department. She was airlifted by Lifenet Medivac to Wilson Hospital where she is in serious condition.

A portion of Route 369 was closed for several hours.

Weeks was ticketed for two counts of moving from a lane unsafely, falure to keep right and driving to the left of pavement markings.
