What a day for the Seton Catholic Central Saints baseball team.  They did not allow a run in two victories in the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Baseball Championships.  They defeated Pierson-Bridgehampton 1-0 in a semi-final contest won by  Michael Korchak. who  struck out 11 in the winning effort.  Then the Saints' bats came alive in the championship game to roll by Geneseo 9-0 and capture their first state crown.  In the title contest Pat Gosney fired-up another complete game victory giving up just four hits.

Riding the outstanding, shutout pitching of their two southpaws the Saints were able to win in front of several hundred friends and family members on Hornet Field at Broome Community College.  The two complete game victories today by Saints' pitching yielded no runs for the opposition. Seton Catholic Central finishes 19-4 on the season.
