Seton Catholic Central students raised $18,000 for the American Cancer Society last weekend in their Third Annual Relay For Life event held at the high school. Seton Catholic Central has now raised  $53,000 over their three Relay For Life events.  Students formed teams and walked inside the school's gym from 6 p.m. through 6 a.m. May 16-17.

In conjunction with the actual walk students placed purple toilets on selected  lawns and asked the homeowners to make a donation to the American Cancer Society to get the toilet removed.  The first such "recipient" was the school's principal Richard Bucci.  Bucci said  "we are extremely proud of the significant dollars our students have raised over the last three years.  The American Cancer Society's Relay For Life brings the student body together to raise much-needed funds that enable the Cancer Society to support its diverse initiatives that ultimately save lives."

Donations in support of the event can still be made.  Information is available online at www.relayforlife.org/setoncatholicNY.
