The Seton Catholic Central Saints and Deposit/Hancock Eagles are in the hunt for the  New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) baseball championships. Both won their semifinal games on Friday.

Deposit/Hancock advanced by defeating Brocton from Section 6 by a final score of 3-0 at NYSEG Stadium.  The Eagles face Fort Plains from Section 2 at 10 A.M. at Binghamton University for the state Class D championship.

The Saints topped Royalton-Hartland 7-1 at Maine-Endwell and now will face Center Moriches from Section 11 for the state Class B title.  They play at 1 P.M. at NYSEG Stadium.

In other championship matchups on Saturday:

At 10 A.M. at NYSEG Stadium the Class C Championship will be decided.  Ticonderoga from Section 7 meets Section 5 member Avon.  At 1 PM in the Class AA title game at Binghamton University Massapequa from section 8 meets Section 3 representative Baldwinsville.

Two other Section 4 teams were eliminated from a chance at a state title.  In Class AA Horseheads fell to Massapequa  5-1 and Lansing in Class C lost 1-0 to Avon.
