Services and Parades Honor Fallen Heroes

Numerous parades and services were held around the area this Memorial Day.  Veterans and families were among many taking part in parades that began this morning and continued through this afternoon with a parade in Binghamton.  The Binghamton parade began at American Legion Post 76 on Main Street at 2:00 PM and ended at the Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena.

Other parades were held in Endicott, Johnson City, Whitney Point and Owego along with many others throughout the area.  In Binghamton the Binghamton Patriots and Chenango Forks High School bands took part as well as fire department and police personnel joining in with veterans from various branches of the military.
