Sentencing For Woman Who Murdered Her Two Year Old Son

A woman convicted of beating her two-year-old son to death in their Binghamton home in December, 2010 is being sentenced this week.

Veronica Taft was 24 years old at the time of her indictment for the beating death of Lyric Taft.

In August of this year, she was convicted of murder, manslaughter and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child.  She faces a maximum of 25 years to life in prison and a minimum sentence of 18 years to life in prison.
