A Brooklyn man convicted of the December 2010 murder of Eric Dantzler of Binghamton will not be sentenced this month as scheduled.

31 year old Maurice Anthony’s lawyer says post-verdict motions are still being filed.

Anthony was found guilty of shooting Dantzler to death on Corliss Avenue in Johnson City during the course of a robbery.

Police say an acquaintance drove Dantzler a short distance away from the shooting. He was found slumped over the wheel of his Sport Utility Vehicle at the intersection of Faatz Alley and Arch Street December 20, 2011.

Dantzler died the next day just blocks away at Wilson Memorial Regional Medical Center.

Anthony was located in August, 2011 in Monroe County where he was jailed on an unrelated charge.

Anthony could be sentenced up to life in prison.  The new sentencing date is November 19.
