Senators Rock B-Mets In Morning Contest

The Binghamton Mets came out of a May 19 slug fest with a nearly empty tank in their morning contest in Harrisburg and took it on the chin with a 10-1 defeat.  The B-Mets scored first with one run in the top of the second inning.  But, the lead did not last long.  The Senators roared back with a bases-loaded double by Derrick Robinson putting Harrisburg up 3-1.

Gabriel Ynoa made the start for Binghamton and dropped to 2-2 on the season as he gave up five runs on six hits over five innings of work.  Matthew Spann tossed seven strong innings and gave up seven hits to earn his first win of the season.

With the loss the B-Mets fall to 22-17.  They conclude their three-game series in Harrisburg May 21 with a 6:30 p.m. game (air at 6:15 on News Radio 1290 WNBF).  Binghamton then returns home for seven consecutive games beginning Friday night at 7:05 against the Akron RubberDucks.
