Senator Schumer Wants New Diesel Buses for Broome

Senator Charles Schumer says he wants to get $4 million for Broome County to buy ten new diesel BC Transit buses.

Schumer says diesel buses are cleaner, cutting down on pollution and would replace many buses in the county fleet that have been deemed to be past their useful lifespan.

The Democrat says the Federal Transportation Administration money would also buy nine new bicycle shelters to be placed around the county.
