New York's senior U.S. Senator is on the hunt for dead zones for cell service in his investigation into whether wireless companies  embellish the truth on their coverage maps.

The Democrat says while carriers claim to provide good coverage through many of the rural areas of New York State, customers repeatedly find calls dropped or that they are unable to establish cell service at all.

Schumer's office has set up a website for customers to report information on the locations of dead zones around the state.

The information entered at schumer.senate.gov/wirelessdeadzone will be shared with the Federal Communications Commission.
