Section 4 Teams Advance in Football Playoffs

After a weekend of Central New York Regional Playoffs three Section 4 teams have advanced to the state semi-finals.  All semi-final games involving Section 4 teams will be played this weekend at Sahlen's Soccer Stadium in Rochester..

Starting things off on November 21 at noon in the Class "D" contest Tioga meets Kearney.  At 3:00 p.m. the Class "C" semi-final pits Chenango Forks versus Bath.  Then, at 6:00 p.m. in a Class "A" semi-final Maine-Endwell meets South Park.

On November 22 at 1:00 p.m. Cazenovia faces Cheektowaga in a "B" battle.  Following at 4:00 PM Liverpool tackles Aquinas in a Class "AA" tussle.

Cazenovia advanced after defeating Section 4's Waverly on November 14 at Binghamton's Alumni Stadium.  The Lakers went to overtime to knockout the Wolverines 17-14.  In the nightcap, Liverpool stopped the Elmira Express 27-22 with a closing minute scoring drive.  The Express got to the Regional game by rolling up 64 points against the Binghamton Patriots.
