This weekend wraps-up the regular season for most Section 4 football teams.  While teams are still jockeying for position most of the playoff bound teams have at least qualified to move on into the post-season.

The big test this weekend will be in Elmira where the Express host the Binghamton Patriots at 1:30.  On the line will be the top-seed for the upcoming Division I  AA playoffs.  Binghamton is 6-1 and the Patriots have reeled off five wins in a row.  The Express are 7-0.  Both have outstanding running attacks.  Binghamton has one of the top runners in Section 4 in Amman Weaver who has rushed for 892 yards..  With him are two hard-nosed bruisers in  Daniel Sellepack and Joe Crowley.

The Express feature Jerry McPeak who has already carried the ball for over 1,000 yards.  The winner of Saturday's regular season finale will get a bye in the semi-final round of the playoffs next weekend.

In Endwell the Spartans will look to extend their winning streak which stands at 32 straight.  The New York State defending Class B champions are led by rugged running back Darnell Woolfolk who has scored 12 TD's so far this season.  The Spartans don't throw a lot but when they do quarterback Kyle Gallagher can thread the needle.  His favorite target is brother Adam who doubles as a solid running back.  Oneonta's Yellowjackets have won just once this season and are 1-6 heading to Spartan Stadium.  Kickoff is at 1:30 and will be broadcast on News Radio 1290 WNBF.

In Saturday's nightcap the U-E Tigers look to clinch the top seed in the Class A playoffs with a win over Corning.  The Tigers are 4-3 and are coming off an impressive win at Norwich.  Corning lost to Binghamton last Friday and the Hawks are 3-4.  Kickoff is at 7 PM and this game will also be aired on News Radio 1290 WNBF.
