The Section 4 High School Football  Championships are being played this weekend. In a schedule adjustment the Class A game between regular season champion Union-Endicott and Vestal has been changed for a start of 5 PM from 7 PM at Binghamton’s Alumni Stadium. That game will be followed by the D title game between Tioga and Groton.

The other three championships will be held at Union-Endicott’s Ty Cobb Stadium on Saturday.  At 2 PM Maine-Endwell meets Chenango Valley for the B title.  Then at 5 PM Waverly and Chenango Forks will decide the Class C Championship.  At 8 PM Binghamton meets Elmira to decide the Class AA crown.

Winners of the Section 4 Championships advance to the New York State quarterfinals against the winners of Section 3 in the Greater Syracuse area. Those games will be played next weekend.

News Radio 1290 WNBF will broadcast Friday’s Class A Championship at 5 PM and the Class AA  title game Saturday at 8 PM with Roger Neel and Fran Angeline.
