A Binghamton man is accused of smuggling heroin into the Broome County Jail.

Corrections officers say they found 18 small, individually wrapped packages of the drug in the possession of inmate Sean Cutty.

A Police K9 alerted officers to the presence of narcotics in a package of rice during a search of Cutty’s cell December 19.

He’s charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance and promoting dangerous prison contraband.
