Another arrest has been made in connection with a Binghamton home invasion in which a man and woman were tied up.

Authorities say a Long Island man has been charged with first-degree burglary. Investigators say 27-year-old Jose Figueroa of Freeport was arrested Thursday.

Figueroa is the second person arrested in the March 16 incident which happened at 48 Court Street. Two men burst into an apartment just before 5 a.m.

Pillow cases were placed over the heads of a man and his girlfriend. Police say the man was assaulted. The intruders grabbed items from inside the apartment and fled.

Two days after the home invasion, detectives arrested 21-year-old Brandon Vernon of Norwalk, Connecticut. He was charged with first-degree burglary.
